Welcome to Hurst Lodge. We are small, well established day and boarding school set in grounds of 20 acres, close to London and all major airports. Taking girls from 3 - 18 and boys from 3 - 7, we offer continuity of education allowing an easy transition from one stage of education to another in familiar surroundings.
In addition to a modern academic curriculum we provide extensive facilities for pupils to study the creative and performance arts. Students needing additional academic support are catered for in our Dyslexia Department.
Learning is seldom convenient. It does not take place between 9.00am and 3.30pm exclusively. As such we have classes well into the evening, most of which are optional. Sometimes we have rehearsals and practices at weekends. At Hurst Lodge we believe that children learn more rapidly then they are taught in small classes by enthusiastic staff who have clear educational goals in mind. Great importance is attached to discipline and good manners. Respect for others and confidence with courtesy are encouraged.
In our school every individual is valued and encouraged to have a sense of their own worth, to show consideration for others and to see learning as a life long pleasure. Learning continues long after the class ends and in addition to a modern academic curriculum we provide extensive facilities for children to study the creative and performing arts.
It is impossible to convey the warm welcome that awaits you as you enter Hurst Lodge. We hope that this site provides a sense of the atmosphere and underlying ethos that depicts life at Hurst Lodge.
