Visit to Domino's Pizza

How does a Franchise work? What are the costs, advantages and how do you keep your customers happy?  These were all questions for the 6th form and year 10 Business Studies groups to find out on their recent trip to Domino’s in Sunningdale.

A tour of the store showed the pupils how the production line worked, the store rooms and the Health and Safety notices.  They then had a short presentation which explained the background to franchising, how Domino’s markets it products and the costs involved.  Finally the best bit was donning aprons and caps and actually making their own pizzas. They learnt about the ingredients, the production process and many other factors involved in the franchising business.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable and extremely valuable learning experience.
